I can’t even remember when I first met Tara Michelucci – it was that long ago! She was one of the first My Tarot Club followers and has been a wonderful part of the My Tarot Club journey, providing feedback, support and ideas for the website.
Just recently, Tara started her new business as an intuitive life coach, Tarot reader and astrologer at http://ascendanthealing.
I asked Tara if she could share a Tarot reading technique that was close to her heart and that captured her connection with her intuitive self. She gladly obliged and has written this powerful post about using Tarot as a vehicle for visualisation and manifestation.

The Tarot, steeped in mysticism and a rich history of ancient religious symbolism can take a lifetime to truly master. Perhaps that is why many with an insatiable hunger for learning and mysteries are attracted to the Tarot as a tool of divination and connection.
However, it is certainly not necessary that one dedicate a lifetime, a great expenditure of energy or study to learn Tarot.
The imagery of the myriad Tarot decks available to peruse, with specific symbolic meanings understood intellectually, are first understood subconsciously. Carl Jung, pioneer psychoanalyst, made a clear connection between the Major Arcana and the archetype, “the introspectively recognizable form of a priori psychic orderedness”. Simply, this means that anyone can look through the Major Arcana and, without grasping the context of the symbolism, understand on a fundamental level the progression of the Fool’s path through the World.
We can utilize this unconscious, fundamental comprehension to our advantage, and as a powerful tool to charting our own path. The Law of Attraction, “The Secret”, and a clearer understanding of how we co-create our universe has led many to build vision boards, speak affirmations, and live with greater intent.
Using the Major Arcana, it is not only simple to create a Manifestation Spread; but the potency of this spread is indeed powerful because you are the creator of the path. While the connection to the imagery is subconscious, as with any manifestation tool, it is necessary to connect emotionally to the subject matter – therefore, I highly recommend using a deck with an aesthetic which you connect to.
The Manifestation Tarot Spread
The spread is quite simple:
- Card 1: Your Present State
- Card 2: The Key to Integrating/Bridging Present and Future
- Card 3: Your Desired, Future State
Cards 1 & 3 are chosen first, and Card 2 is then selected thoughtfully, as the bridge to connect them.
At a pivotal point in my life, feeling uncertain of the future – yet having a clear understanding of what I wanted, I created the Manifest Destiny Spread. The spread began with The Fool and ended with The Empress. Today, I find myself surpassing that destination, and decided to create the spread again.
Now, using the Mary-El Tarot for its visually stunning artwork and esoteric bent, my spread begins with The Chariot. I have been immersed in work of tangible, spiritual, and psychological nature. Riding the crest of a wave towards building my magnum opus has been incredibly fulfilling and trying. At times I feel so tested and stretched beyond my own capacity. I yearn for the day when I have achieved my accomplishments and begin the next cycle – this spread ends with The World: everything is in its right place. So with some meditation as to my current state and the understanding that I will get to The World eventually (as all cycles begin and end), the card that is the bridge for me is Temperance. The importance of integrating my accomplishments, and tempering my sense of urgency with patience, generosity, and appreciation for each moment is the lesson of this card.
Considering how quickly everything came together for me the last time I did this spread (it was a matter of weeks before I found myself embodying the abundant, graceful energy of The Empress) – I trust intrinsically the power of it now. In fact, I began writing this article a couple of weeks ago – but got caught up in a whirlwind of making other things happen. As I get back on track – I am already realizing I have begun to integrate that Chariot energy with the anticipated energy of The World.
This spread is potent and as powerful to getting you where you want to be as your intentions. Choose the card that represents your current state, overall – or hone in on one area of your life (that’s up to you). Choose the desired destination – entrusting timeframes to the Universe.
This spread, while linear, is not associated with a time-frame because, due to the potency of manifestation – things happen as quickly as you release them to or not. Once you’ve got your “bookend” cards, intentionally choose the card that you know will be the bridge for you between now and then. Take a photo, create a spread using card images from the internet that you can refer to visually – and meditate as often as you feel drawn to. It will happen!
This simple and visually energetic spread can create the manifesting imprint in the Universe you need to catapult your desires, whatever they may be!

How exciting Asheesh! I’m sorry to hear The Tower is where your finances are currently – The Magician seems a great bridge card to get yourself to the energy of the King of Pentacles.
For best results, visualize yourself utilizing all of your skills and talents, and becoming aware of and open to synchronicities as The Magician does, now – rather than later.

Hi there, I found the idea of a manifestation spread really interesting so I gave it a go too. We have just moved to a new place from a place of restrictions (maybe self-imposed) and so this was my spread:
1) Death
2) Strength (and also the equivalent of the tower in the card pack I use but this is quite a radical change)
3) Sun and Judgement
I have come from a place of indecision and childhood abuse and want to arrive at a place of harmony and balance with all around me coupled with all that is represented by the sun, and to get there I know I must deal with my past and decisions I have made which have determined the course of my life. xx

I’m sorry to hear you’re going through a difficult transition – I’m sure better times are on your horizon. I once went through a move like this too – and your acknowledging so early on, the potential self imposed restrictions/limitations puts you light years ahead in your personal growth. Acknowledge that and give yourself some love there!
Something I thought of, and wanted to point out, is that it may be beneficial to add the Judgment card alongside Strength (just right of it); before The Sun. As the Sun is your absolute desired outcome; and the Judgment card deals with that Phoenix rising from the ashes – it makes sense.

This looks like a fun spread – I am going to give it a go. I do a similar spread when I choose a card that makes me feel disappointed. If the “final outcome” card in the celtic cross spread is not what I was wanting, I then choose the card I was hoping to get – I lay that card next to the one I don’t like and I compare them and ask myself what I need to do in order to shift from the card I got to the card I wanted to get.

I just found this manifestation spread….I have been a student of tarot for many years….reading for friends & clients for about the past two years….Although I have been around tarot for awhile…I still consider myself “a student” always learning. I decided to give this a go….here’s what I have chosen as my manifestation spread:
Card 1: Your Present State….. The Fool
Card 2: The Key to Integrating/Bridging Present and Future The Moon
Card 3: Your Desired, Future State The High Priestess
I think once I learn the mysteries…I can be a vessel of Divine Light to those who seek the path
The Star card can be used as an integrating card for present and future.

What a thoughtful spread you’ve put together!
The Moon is a wonderful bridge card to get you from The Fool to The High Priestess in this case – as you are addressing both your insecurities/anxieties about inexperience – while simultaneously taking on the feminine strength of the moon and lunar cycles to grasp them. You already possess all the gifts you need to be of service to others.

I just did the manifestation spread, the end is a little confusing.
The cards are:
1. Present- Fool.
2. Bridging- Strength
3. Future state- Hanged man
How does hanged man be my future state cos to me it still leaves me / business in the same financial state.
Please can u give me some insight.

The trick is to select the cards, rather than shuffle as a typical spread. The last card should be where you want to be. Make sense?

My Tarot Club’s recent newsletter mentioned a manifestation spread but after reading I’m not sure this is the one she was referencing.
However, for this spread, is one just picking cards that they want(or would like to see) from the deck? Just going through any picking out the gems. Nothing random?
This is another way of reading for manifestation, this time by purposefully selecting the cards so that you can use them as part of your visualisation for manifestation. Or, if it doesn’t feel right, try it with randomly selected cards and see what comes up for you.
